The vibe is really what's driving this place. The people, service, the aesthetics, all top notch. I come here when I'm in town and enjoy the yummy cocktails and sushi. Stop by for fresh fish in the dessert.
I'm so glad I changed my original dinner plans and found this gem instead! I got sat rather quickly for someone who doesn't have a reservation on a busy night. Cocktail was 10/10 Platter 10/10 I was surprised with how good and fresh the nigiris are. I definitely will be coming back!
Holy moly. This place has to be one of my top sushi places I have ever eaten. The restaurant has a beautiful patio, where we sat. it was not too hot because we went in the evening. The waiter was super nice and attentive. The top thing that we got was the wagyu roll. It was out of this world. It has a smokey flavor from the meat that was tender. The citrus from the salad and the roll was so delicious. The duck baos were okay they needed more sauce. The fish cheek was super tender and moist. The sauce with the fish cheek was great. Finally, the salmon sashimi was melt in your mouth delicious and was such a great cut.
Small but cute inside with a nice ambiance and they had great background music playing. The outside seating deck area was cute but due to the weather/wind we sat inside. The food was a little pricey for what it was but everyone enjoyed their food for the most part. I would give it 4.5 stars if I could. I'm sure this is top spot for sushi in Palm Springs area but for someone who lives closer to the coast, this was not the best I have had. 2 people in our party got the Omakase and the first 4 courses were not sushi so heads up if strictly sushi is what you want. Presentation was beautiful. The miso soup was delicious and had mushrooms in it which made it a more more filling and flavorful.
To start Kelsey at the bar is AMAZING. Super knowledgeable of the drinks and the food. The vibe is super demure and amazing. The music is playing the guests are laughing and talking. If you want your traditional all you can eat sushi this isn't for you. If you want an elevated experience with great drinks and food then you found the spot.
Highly recommend for sushi lovers! We started off with the spicy edamame for an app, not too spicy but just perfect. We then ordered the lobster roll along with the sandfish roll and the mussels. All were absolutely AMAZING! I eat sushi quite frequently and this is some of the best I've had. The sandfish roll was my favorite, great flavor and couldn't get enough of the potato toppings. The lobster roll was great as well, the tempura lobster pieces we just ate separately from the roll. Lastly were the mussels, we drained every last ounce of that broth because it was heavenly. Our server recommended these three items and we were glad we listened to his recommendation. Inside the restaurant was cute and quaint, as we were nestled in a corner so we could devour our food.
Really good sushi but food pricing was higher than expected. We were seated inside, which is a warm and cozy space. Service was OK; it took a little while to get our order in and receive our drinks. The nigiri and rolls we ordered were delicious. The rolls were very creative.
Overall food and service was very good and we will be back. However, four stars for the patio ambiance. No umbrellas, no misters, no decorations. Don't book the patio until after dark on a hot or ever on a windy day. My only other complaint is chipped plates! Really? For the price of their food please throw away the damaged plates. It's not appealing when you are first seated. Everything was super tasty except the bao's were good quality but very bland. Also, there is no parking and no valet!
